This guide walks you through sending a Figma frame to Uiprobe using the Figma plugin. The result is a draft probe that you can complete later by providing a webpage URL.
What you need
- A Figma account
- The Uiprobe Figma plugin installed (available from the Figma Community)
- A Figma frame URL for the design you want to compare
Send a frame
- Open the plugin in Figma.
- If prompted, click Login with Figma to sign in.
- Copy the URL of the Figma frame you want to compare. Right-click the frame, select Copy/Paste as, then Copy link to selection. If you're using Figma in the browser, you can also copy the URL from the address bar while the frame is selected.
- Paste the URL into the plugin's Figma frame URL field.
- Wait for the "Frame detected" confirmation.
- Click Send to Uiprobe.
A success screen confirms the draft probe was created.
What happens next
The frame's design data is now in Uiprobe as a draft probe. You can find it in the Probes Overview, where it appears with a Draft badge.
A draft probe has no webpage URL yet, so it can't run a comparison. To start comparing, you need to complete the draft.
