Probe limits for View and Collab seats
As of November 17, 2025, Figma applies new API rate limits that depend on seat type. These limits affect how many probes you can run in Uiprobe.
What it is
If you use a View or Collab seat in Figma, you can create up to 6 probes per month in Uiprobe.
This limit is defined by Figma and applies to all plan types.
Once you reach your monthly quota, new probes will not run until the limit resets at the start of the next month.
How it works
This limit primarily impacts new probes — each new probe requires a request to fetch the latest version of the Figma design.
When you update an existing probe, Uiprobe first checks whether the design has changed since the last time it was compared.
If nothing has changed, the update won’t count toward your monthly limit.
You can therefore update existing probes as often as you want, as long as the connected Figma design remains the same.
The limit only applies when probing new or changed designs.
Who is affected
- View or Collab seats → limited to 6 probes per month in Uiprobe.
- Full or Dev seats → higher API allowances and not affected by this monthly limit.
What you can do
If you reach your monthly limit, you have several options:
- Upgrade your Figma seat — Full or Dev seats allow more frequent probing.
- Use probes strategically — run probes for designs that are actively changing.
- Use the upcoming Uiprobe Figma plugin — we’re developing a plugin that lets you create probes directly inside Figma, without being affected by this monthly limit.
