This guide walks you through creating your first probe in Uiprobe.

A probe defines a visual comparison between a Figma design and a live webpage. Once created, it can be run repeatedly to inspect visual differences over time.

What you need

Before you start, make sure you have:

  • a Figma frame URL for the design you want to verify
  • a webpage URL for the implementation you want to compare

If the webpage is not publicly accessible, you’ll need the Chrome Extension. (Covered in a separate article.)

Create a probe

  1. Open the Uiprobe web app.
  2. Choose Create probe.
  3. Paste the Figma frame URL.
  4. Paste the webpage URL.
  5. Create the probe.

Once created, Uiprobe runs the probe automatically.

What happens next

After the probe runs:

If no differences are detected, the probe version will contain zero issues.

Next steps

From here, you can:

  • review detected issues on the canvas
  • switch view modes to inspect differences
  • re-run the probe later to create a new version
